John Stamos Asked To Replace Charlie Sheen On "Two And A Half Men"

Stamos Pictures, Images and Photos

A shocking new report has surfaced, and it involves CBS head Les Moonves offering the newly created opening on "Two And A Half Men" to John Stamos.

Some exceprts from the Eonline Report:

Les Moonves had a nice chat with John Stamos on Saturday about replacing Sheen on the hit sitcom.
Sources exclusively tell me that Moonves approached Stamos at Jeffrey Katzenberg's Night Before benefit at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
"They were at the bar talking and Les asked John if he'd be interested in replacing Charlie," one source says. "It wouldn't be to play Charlie's character but they talked more about introducing a new character."

This bombshell has a lot of potential fallout, not the least of which is Stamos' relationship with Sheen, But the more interesting point would be to see how Stamos' long time close friend Howard Stern would react to such an endeavor.

Twitter was revolutionized At 4:47 pm on Feb 12th, 2011 with the following tweet:

"If u r watching private parts the general manager was really like this and that outdoor shot is the real radio station"
Howard Stern fans were treated to a completely unexpected and unplanned surprise this past weekend when hundreds of thousands of cell phones simultaneously started buzzing with the first tweet of the day from The King Of All Media... It was a "behind the scenes" comment from Stern that was sent as he was watching his movie on HBO.

Over the next hour plus, Stern continued to elate his fans by tweeting detals of the movie, scene by scene. He spoke about the demeanor on the set, scenes that were edited, and many other insider tidbits that brought an entire fan base together all around the country to watch a movie on a Saturday afternoon. Throughout the movie, Stern also answered questions posed by his fans, and responded to their comments.

The importance of what happened last Saturday should not be underestimated. Simply by sending those 22 simple words, Stern has surely opened up the entertainment world's eyes to the power of the medium he only joined a few short days ago. Without even thinking about what he was embarking on, Stern created an entire interaction between celebrity and fan that will not be soon forgotten, and will surely be copied by many in the near future.

"The King Of All Media" has proven he is still just that. Well done Howard.

Howard Stern Re-Signs With Sirius Satellite Radio For 5 Years, Goof On Staff Member Leads Millions To Think He Retired

Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and cell phones on the East coast simultaneously blew up at around 8:10 AM Eastern time today as Howard Stern announced he was going "off into the sunset" and retiring from Sirius Satellite Radio to spend more time with his wife and concentrate on playing chess. The problem is that that announcement was a prank being played on a staff member, and listeners tuning in for their 8AM commute had no idea..

The morning played out like this:

At around 6AM Eastern Time this morning, Howard Stern announced he has inked a deal to continue his show for another 5 years with Sirius Satellite Radio.

The problem for millions of loyal listeners is that if they were not listening to the show at the time of the 6AM re-signing announcement, they unknowingly fell victim to the 8AM prank.

Sal "The Stockbroker" Governale was late arriving to the studio this morning due to oversleeping as a result of a late night out drinking and was not aware of the news of the new contract so a few hours following the original 6AM announcement (sometime around 8:10 AM) Howard called a meeting in the studio with key staff.

The meeting, which was taking place live on air, included Governale when Stern stated "I have an announcement to make. I have decided to go off into the sunset. My wife wants me to spend more time at home, and I would like to devote more time to playing chess." This news sent Governale into a crying tirade as he openly wailed about having no money saved, and he was now worried about his children's future. Howard played into Sal's misery for a few moments and continued to let him cry on air as the joke continued. After a few more minutes of playing into Sal's agony, Howard asked him "Sal, were you late this morning?" After Sal responded with a "yes", Howard said "What happens when you're late? You get goofed on... You missed the announcement this morning. The whole world knows I resigned for 5 more years... that's what you get for being late....."

As Sal's crying like a little bitch reaction will surely go down as an iconic stern moment, due to the timing of the 8AM prank, Millions of listeners were tuning in for the first time and fell victim to the prank announcement as much as Sal did. Social networks were nearly overloaded as news of Howard's "retirement" began to spread at 8AM by the millions of despondent fans who didn't know what was really happening.

Well played Howard, well played!

David Arquette: "I Am Not A Cheater"

This morning, David Arquette called in to the Howard Stern Show to discuss the recent split from his wife Courtney Cox. Howard Stern was easily able to get his good friend Arquette to open up about his domestic troubles.

During the interview, Arquette said he is "the most faithful man", and he never cheated. He said that under the terms of his separation, both he and Courteney were allowed to see other people, but the agreement was being kept secret from the public. Arquette mentioned that the couple decided to go public with the separation because it was about to be revealed that he had been seen with another woman, and he did not want to be perceived as a cheater.

As Howard peppered his friend with wide ranging questions, Mr. Arquette said that he and his estranged wife are being "very sweet and kind to each other". "We're still working it out, we still love each other" said David. ""We're not divorced, we're separated. We are trying to figure our lives out."

Arquette did admit to sexual relations with one woman, but insisted it was within the restraints of the separation agreement, and said he would not be with that person again. He also denied reports that his wife did not come home one night after being accompanied by a "Cougar Town" co-star.  "Hopefully it all works out, I've been begging Courteney to get back together".

Always the sympathetic ear, Howard suggested David should now begin to date Cox's former "Friends" co-star Jennifer Anniston, then summarily dump her for Angelina Jolie. That suggestion was followed up by a phone call from Stern Show Wack Packer, High Pitch Eric, who offered to take David out for a night on the town to help him forget his worries.

Unfortunately, Arquette declined the invitation. That's one party we would have liked to attend.
