Yesterday Butch Patrick, who played eddie Munster on the iconic show 'The Munsters'" checked into an in patient rehab clinic in New Jersey, just outside of West Chester Pennsylvania where the star lives. CelebrityBomb.com has the exclusive details of what caused the actor to take action.

In an interview with CelebrityBomb.com, Patrick's representative told us she was scared for the actor's life, especially in light of a recent 4 day drug binge.

"I told him I didn't want him to die. It was that serious" said the rep. "He was completely out of it for four days. I sat him down and told him he had to get help, his family shouldn't see him this way."

The rep also told us that any rehab stint would be paid for out of the actors pocket, something that could pose a challenge. Patrick has just completed his busiest time of the year as the Eddie Munster actor had multiple bookings throughout the Halloween season, however, most of the actors income is derived from personal appearances which he can not fulfill while the rehab process is taking place.

We wish Butch the best, and with that in mind, will someone alert Dr. Drew?
